Point Cook Fire Brigade is committed to the development of a capable and strong community. Our strategic intent is to minimise the incidence and impact of fire and other emergencies through partnerships, programs and services that empower and mobilise Victorians to be self-reliant before during and after significant events.

Fire Safe Kids Program
Point Cook Fire Brigade has started a targeted Fire Safe Kids Education process to actively seek out and educate student within the local community. This program will be targeted at year 5 students in the Point Cook fire district. It is the objective of the education process to ensure that all children have access to the fire safe message and learn the importance of working with the Fire brigade to create a resilient community that is well educated in safety procedures.
- Point Cook fire Brigade is in the process of contacting schools within the Fire district to organise Fire Safe Kids visits to all year 5 students in the area. And establishing an annual process whereby each year the Brigade will visit students in year 5 at all schools.

Targeted Communities
We are also examining the demand for Fire Safe Education within high risk minority groups within the local Point Cook community. The Brigade will be looking at ways to communicate the Fire Safe message to all groups within the local population in particular the Chinese and Indian communities.
